Sara is a History PhD student and researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles who earned her MA in Middle East Studies at the American University in Cairo. She researches twentieth century Middle East and African histories of decolonization, pan-Africanist thought, and Afro-Arab political networks and economic relations. Sara assists co-PI Dr. Alden Young on the Red Sea Net project’s data analysis.
